What Is A Chemical Peel?
A chemical peel is a painless, cosmetic treatment that uses botanical and physician-approved acids, such as alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta hydroxy acids (BHAs), and trichloroacetic acid (TCAs). The chemical solution will help peel off layers of sun-damaged skin, age spots, and discoloration.
As the layers peel, your skin will look younger, plumper, brighter, cleared, and finer.
What Kind of Peel Do I Need?
North Valley Women’s Care offers different types of Skinceuticals chemical peels. These include the superficial, medium depth, and deep peels.

Our aestheticians here at North Valley Women’s Care will provide you with personalized skincare consultation and recommendations according to your skin type, concerns, habits, lifestyle, and skin care goals.
How Much Does A Chemical Peel Cost?
The cost of chemical peels will vary depending on your preferred peel type and your skin concerns. You can book a consultation with one of our dermatologists to further discuss the details of your treatment.

What Can I Expect During A Chemical Peel?
The procedure usually takes about 30 to 45 minutes. As a preparation, our aesthetician will cleanse your skin with a mild cleanser. The chemical peel will be applied in thin layers while avoiding the eye area.
Our specialist will make sure that you’ll feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the chemical peel session.
What Happens After A Chemical Peel?
Our chemical peels are self-neutralizing. They can only penetrate the skin to a certain depth. This means that you don’t have to wipe or remove them after the treatment.
The appointment should be quick with minimal post-treatment instructions. No need to fear skin damage or burns!
Skin peeling will take effect on the third to seventh post-treatment day. The amount of peeling and downtime depends on the type of peel used and your skin’s condition.
If you’re not comfortable going out in public during the peeling period, we can schedule your treatment mid-week so that you’ll have the whole weekend to recover privately.
Our licensed and trained aesthetician will make sure to discuss with you all the necessary details of the procedure.
